ROW80 Wednesday Check-In

Yes, I know this is Thursday.  No need to remind me.  I had every intention of posting an update on my ROW80 goals last night but instead I helped a friend who was in a bad car accident.  By the time I got home it was 11-ish so I went to bed.

At any rate, I’ve written a little under 1500 words on my current work-in-progress so far this week.  I submitted that section for critique group, which I attended yesterday.  I am working on a critical scene and got some great feedback, as always.  I just love my critique group, made up of some very talented writers.

I’m sure I’ll write more on this scene during the rest of the week and will, of course, post my update on Sunday so y’all know how I’m doing and can keep me honest.  For now, I leave you with a quote from an article on internal motivation written by Michael Hyatt.  Click here to read the full article.

Have a happy day!

  1. First of all…I hope your friend is okay. Car accidents are scary things.

Congrats on the 1,500 words. I have a WIP that is crying for attention. I feel guilty about leaving my characters in suspended animation.

I belong to a writers’ group and although we’re not technically a critique group, the members will definitely read and comment on one another’s work when asked.

All the best as you continue on.
