Carson Brackney, a friend from my college days, worked his magic on my site today to both personalize it and make it easier to access the content. I really love it and I hope you do, too.
Carson and I re-connected a while back on Facebook and finally got together yesterday for breakfast. Nearly 20 years ago (YIKES) we spent a lot of time together traveling the country in Southwestern College’s school van. That is, when/if the football team didn’t need it. They always got first dibs of course. Can you sense my resentment?
Every weekend we would pile in that van and head to another college or university, usually in another state, to compete in yet another debate tournament to best other teams and bring back more trophies for the school. Because they didn’t let us keep our trophies of course. Again, sense the resentment?
We spent 2 and 1/2 hours eating, drinking too much coffee and catching up. And while we acknowledged that we are two totally different people now than the young and carefree (some might say stupid) college kids we were , it was nice to see that some things don’t change. He is still brilliant, articulate and funny as hell. He has many talents (like the back-end blog work he did for me) but if you need content, he is definitely your man.
