A Sincere Thank You

Greg has headed off to Petco (read this for the blow-by-blow) and the girls have settled down to once again watch School Gyrls, a Nick Cannon-directed tween girl power movie starring Justin Bieber <pause for screams>.  While I can catch my breath I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of you who have been following this blog or are reading this blog right now for the very first time.  I started it just under one month ago and today I blew past 1000 hits.  I don’t know what that means in the world of blogging, but it feels pretty good to me.  In fact, for those of you who don’t know me that well this blog has been my savior, dragging me from the depths of a pretty good case of depression that started just after the first of the year.  Getting a blog up and running is fairly easy, but add pages, links, blogrolls, custom css, etc., and that’s a little more complex.  It is just the challenge I needed to take my mind off of things, pick me up, and push me along.  I don’t know exactly what the year holds for me.  I’ve got a bar exam to take, twins to send off to kindergarten in the fall, and – dare I speak it – a 40th birthday to survive.  It’s going to be a big year.  A good year.  Thanks for coming along with me.

  1. You are the coolest. When I grow up I want to be just like you. Your girls are very lucky to have you for their mom. Bless you.

  2. Carm,
I look forward to readng this everyday. You have become a topic of discussion when the Crate Girls get together. Joanne Forester is thinking about blogging about being a Grandma. She suggested I blog about dating after 50! If you find blogging isn’t picking you up, give me a call and we’ll do something – even if I just come over and share is your dog “stuff”. Love you! Juls

  3. Carmen,

You inspire me and give me hope and strength and in the short time I have known you become invaluable to me. I know there was a time before I knew you but this time, the time OF knowing you is so much better. I am so much better. These last few months would have been unbearable without you. I admire you. I admire the way you are raising your 4 beautiful girls. And I admire the way you look at the world and that you can still laugh at yourself.
